Learn more about the people who give Busy as a Bee Concierge its buzz.
Minnie Aikens | Founder, Owner, and President
“It’s the greatest thing when you can do something for someone and feel good about it; then it’s not just a job anymore.”
Minnie Aikens is the founder and owner of Busy as a Bee Concierge. She knows firsthand how challenging it is balancing the high-paced demands of work and home life as a wife and mother. With her passion for people, her work ethic, and generous heart, she’s created a service that helps professionals dial down the stress and turn up the fun.
Minnie has 32 years of experience working in corporate America. She spent 25 of those years in the finance department of Stroh Brewery Company (now closed), and 7 more also in the finance department of the area’s Sara Lee Corporation (now known as Hanesbrands, Inc.).
Such training helped Minnie become not only a manager of people, but an efficient manager of her time. And she uses those skills today to help professionals optimize their time to have the freedom to do more of what they love.
What do clients like most about Minnie? She takes care of you as if you were her own relative or best friend. When you’re with Minnie—you’re family.
Minnie is a Certified Concierge Specialist, a Triangle Concierge Master’s Academy Graduate, and a member of the International Concierge and Lifestyle Management Association. She’s also a current board member of the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce.
When she’s not buzzing around helping clients live out their dreams, you can find her decorating, or spending time with loved ones. She’s also a movie buff. Her favorites? Light-hearted comedies and whodunit mysteries.
Trish Binkley | Concierge and Graphic Designer
“Whatever a client wants done, it gets done. If you don’t have any ideas about what you want, just tell us any general thought you’ve got in your head and we’ll take it from there; we’ll make it work for you.”
Trish Binkley is the right-hand lady of Busy as a Bee Concierge. Wherever our founder, owner, and president, Minnie Aikens, can’t be,Trish is there to stand in her place. Clients say she’s dependable, personable, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
She’s also multi-talented. Not only does she run personal and business errands, she provides professional graphic design services, too.
As a child, creating art was a blast. In high school, she took every class available. She loved them so much, she took them a second time—for no credit. Over the past 24 years, with that same passion, she’s created marketing materials to help promote big and small companies, near and far.
When she’s not as “busy as a bee” taking care of clients, Trish likes spending time with her extended family, reading, and loves watching her daughters play soccer.
Tonya O’Neal | Virtual Assistant
“Business owners come to a point in their business where administrative tasks take too much of their time. I’m able to help them stay focused, organized, and manage their time wisely. They have time to focus on what needs to be done now and prepare for what needs to be done tomorrow. Your business’s success is my priority and our support is an investment not an expense.”
Tonya O’Neal runs the virtual assistance helm of Busy as a Bee Concierge. She handles any and all administrative duties for businesses looking to save time and money.
She has more than 30 years of experience working as an administrative assistant. Twenty-five of them were spent in the dance department of the North Carolina School of the Arts (now the University of North Carolina School of the Arts).
When she’s not buzzing about in her office or meeting with clients, Tonya enjoys reading; shopping; spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren; and attending church activities.
